Our accountability hubs are focused on Senior and Middle management, Fundraising, Talent Management and White Executive Leadership. We know that these hubs will offer an additional place to grapple in meaningful ways with your leadership, practice and organizational culture.
Please reach out directly to hub anchors to RSVP and with specific questions you may have about the hub. This roll out will be an iterative process and we will continue to add hubs that meet the needs of a diverse set of nonprofit leaders. We welcome additional hub ideas and are currently looking for folks to support hubs in Brooklyn and hubs focused on leaders of color and women of color in senior leadership.

Anchor(s) Bio: Fiona is Director of Consulting at Community Resource Exchange (CRE), where she advises nonprofits on leadership development, strategic planning, and talent management. She built CRE’s Innovation practice, which has supported over 100 nonprofits in applying human-centered design to enhance their programs and operations; leads CRE’s Diversity, Inclusion and Equity practice; and facilitates CRE’s own internal taskforce focused on strengthening the organization’s lens and practice on racial equity.
Anchor Bio: Brigid Lang, MPA, CRFE, is an organizational development and fund-raising professional who has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years for community-based and advocacy organizations, with a focus on how the “nuts and bolts” of an organization support the achievement of mission and goals. She currently services as Executive Director at the Grace Institute, which provides tuition-free job training and job placement assistance for women re-entering the workplace, and is on the Boards of the New York Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Center for Special Populations and Prism Stage Company. Brigid received her B.A. in English from Vassar College, holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University and is a Certified Fundraising Executive.
Meghan Faux is the Acting Director in Brooklyn. Prior to becoming the Acting Director, Ms. Faux was the Deputy Director and the Director of the Foreclosure Prevention Project at South Brooklyn Legal Services, where she litigates predatory-lending cases on behalf of low-income homeowners. Ms. Faux is considered one of the foremost experts in New York City and State on predatory lending and foreclosure prevention. Ms. Faux was a lead attorney in Barkley vs United Homes, a case challenging a fraudulent property flipping scheme which obtained a verdict of over $1 million for its clients and injunctive relief against the defendants. Prior to joining the Foreclosure Prevention Project she was a staff attorney in SBLS’ Family Law Unit where she represented parents seeking the return of their children from foster care, and victims of domestic violence in matrimonial, family court and immigration proceedings. In 1999, Ms. Faux was the recipient of an Equal Justice Fellowship. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Stephanie Nilva is an attorney and the Founder and Executive Director of Day One, an organization that partners with youth to end dating abuse and domestic violence. Born and raised in New York City, Stephanie has lived and worked in both New York and California in the domestic violence field for the past 20+ years. Stephanie has published two articles for practitioners on the subject of teen dating abuse and appears on national television as an expert in the field. She graduated from Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts and received her juris doctorate degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she was awarded the Jonathan A. Weiss Award for Public Interest.
Anchor(s) Bio: Lyrica Fils-Aime works as a Community School Director at Children’s Aid College Prep Charter School. Lyrica is an LCSW, Registered Play Therapist, and holds a Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership. She specializes in training social workers effective clinical and anti-racist practices, and runs multiple affinity groups in NYC.
Osvaldo Cruz Jr. is a Licensed Social Worker who identifies as a Puerto Rican, Gay Cis-gender male, born and raised in the South Bronx. He received his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and his Masters in Clinical Social Work from Hunter Silberman School of Social Work. He is presently practicing at Children’s Aid College Prep Charter School as a Life Coach.

Anchor(s)Bio: Cathy J. Sharp, CFRE, has over twenty years administrative and fundraising experience ranging from a small, community performing arts company to the fund development department of a national office for the largest girl-serving organization in the country. As a generalist in the fundraising sector, her experience has encompassed the creation of annual funds, special events management, foundation, corporate and government grant writing, oversight of a multi-million dollar capital campaign, individual and major gift programs and board development. She is a member of Women in Development and has served various leadership roles on the board of the Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals for over ten years, including Vice President, Professional Advancement, co-chair, Membership Committee, nomination committee and Fundraising Day in New York, the largest one day professional education conference for fundraisers in the country. Cathy was recently appointed as an Adjunct Instructor at the NYU School of Professional Studies, teaching grant proposal writing.
Lakimja Mattocks is the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships and Learning at the Support Center. She oversees the Professional Development Course Catalogue which includes the Executive Leadership and Leadership & Supervision Certificate Programs. Prior to joining the Support Center, Lakimja spent eight years in youth and staff development with a focus on youth leadership through service learning, college preparedness and access, work readiness, situational leadership and coaching. Lakimja completed The Coaching Mindset training program at the Nonprofit Help Desk and the Leadership Caucus program at the Community Resource Exchange (CRE). She also possesses a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus in Non Profit Management from Baruch College, loves to volunteer in the area of College Access and holds Alumni Leadership roles with her beloved alma mater, Temple University.
