Subject/Topic: We cannot solve a problem that we are denying. Using the “Racism without Racist” framework developed by Eduardo Bonilla Silva, participants will learn to identify four colorblind ideologies manifested in a post-civil right era. Participants will have the opportunity to develop and practice a specific skill set designed to interrupt colorblind discussions and make a correction that redirects the conversation back to the root cause of persistent racial inequities manifested in health and human services.

Instructor and Qualifications:

Sandra Bernabei, LCSW, President of National Association of Social Workers NYC Chapter.

She is an antiracist community organizer and clinical social work psychotherapist in private practice. Sandra taught Social Justice at Fordham University School of Social Service. She is co-founder of the ANTIRACISTALLIANCE that is building a movement for racial equity in human services and undoing of racism in our lifetime.
